Wardite is not a very well known mineral, but is of special interest to mineralogists and collectors. It is a mineral that belongs to the tetragonal trapezohedral class. The colors of the crystals sometime range from vitreous green to white, colorless crystals. Wardite is sometimes found with Eosphorite crystals which gives the specimen that golden glitter appearance, and Siderite.
Wardite was named for Henry Augustus Ward of the University of Rochester in New York.
Wardite is said to be used to encourage communication and compassion. Wardite also assists in elevating ones self -esteem, and magnify the outgouing aspects of ones personality.
