Tarbuttite Crystal Mineral Specimen

This rare phosphate mineral gets its green coloring from traces of copper, other colors of tarbuttite are casued by iron hydroxides. It was first discovered in 1907 in what is now known as Zambia and was named for Percy Tarbutt who collected several of the initial specimens that were found.
